The Communication of Computer Generated Information - A Review of the Empirical Literature
Article Abstract:
Visual representatives of quantitative data are hardly new. Computer representations of twenty years ago took an alpha-numeric form on paper. In the last decade visual-display-terminals (VDTs) proliferated. Technological change has recently improved information dissemination in graphic form. This is the time of decision for presentation procedures. These technological changes in hardware and software are classified. More research on human information processing is required.

Information content of earnings in an unregulated market: the co-operative cotton mills of Lancashire, 1880-1900
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning a study of earnings and their links with stock prices are discussed with reference to the co-operative cotton mills of Lancashire from 1880 to 1900. The involvement of employees via ownership rights is shown to improve information content.
