The Office for Fair Trading approves a support for Toyota
Article Abstract:
Toyoda Gosei (Japan) and Toyota Tsusho (Japan), automotive component manufacturers, want to invest CEK 449 mil in Klasterec- nad-Ohri, the Czech Republic. The investment should be used for the construction of an airbag modulus and steering wheel production plant. CEK 406 mil of the total investment should be used for technology. The Office for Fair Trading of the Czech Republic has agreed an exception from the prohibition of public support for the project. The total volume of the support must not exceed CEK 245.5 mil. Investment incentives in the form of a tax reduction and a support for the setting up of new jobs are worth CEK 20 mil within the project. The firms will receive CEK 875,000 for re-qualification.

Transform finds enough bottles
Article Abstract:
Transform Lazne Bohdanec (TLB) (Lazne Bohdanec, Czech Republic), waste plastics processor, could raise its production in 2001. If the company collected more plastic waste, it could process up to 3,500 t/y of plastic packaging. In 2000 it processed over 3,000 t of waste into grassing paving, road noise-proof wall elements, cable troughing and other products. While some firms in the sector specialize in the recycling of PET bottles only, TLB is able to process all plastics. It receieves plastic waste mainly from the cities of Hradec Kralove and Pardubice, Czech Republic.

Vulkan plans to modernize

The investments will be used for the modernization of production equipment and the growth of production efficiency.
