The coming US patent opposition
Article Abstract:
The US patent system provides two mechanisms by which a third party can challenge a patent believed to be overly broad, obvious or otherwise deficient in order to mitigate the effects of improperly granted patents. These mechanisms include litigation and petitioning the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to 're-examine' the patent.
