The imitation game: a computational chemical approach to recognizing life
Article Abstract:
An approach to the recognition of living artificial chemical system based on chemical cells as a Gedankenexperiment that exploits a cellular imitation game is proposed. The separation of physical embodiment and ability, as in the original Turning test for artificial intelligence (AI), must be preserved to develop a Gedankenexperiment version of an idealized cellular imitation game.

Computational discovery of gene modules and regulatory networks

Research discusses an algorithm that enables finding regulatory networks of the genetic regulatory modules, which combine information on genome-wide location and expression data sets. Results demonstrate a genome-wide regulatory network in Saccharomyces cerevisiae using binding data for 106 transcription factors.
