INTERVIEW: Ernst & Young's national risk management partner Richard Dyson, who will take up the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) presidency in December 2006, is an institute council member for the Manchester constituency and a former president of the city's district society. Dyson speaks about the strengths of the ICAEW and the risks it faces, and believes that moves toward rules-based rather than principles-based regulation should be resisted.

INTERVIEW: Michael Izza would be at the helm of the largest professional accountancy body in Europe, with an annual income of Pounds Sterling 62 million and 128,000 members, when he would take over as chief executive of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in December 2006.
