Sound exposure as a measure against driver drowsiness
Article Abstract:
Drowsiness and the risk of falling asleep are reported to be common problems in traffic. A study into the waking effects of sound was undertaken in collaboration with lorry drivers. Consistently positive assessments concerning the applied waking system were shown, as regards the system as a measure for raised wakefulness and increased road safety.
