The search for bargains
Article Abstract:
Thailand's economy has gone into a tail-spin since its short-term sovereign debt was downgraded by Moody's Investor Service in Sep 1996. However, in the future, there may be deals in the Thai corporate bond sector as the shakeout from Thailand's economic downturn likely will result in a more efficient and more profitable corporate sector. Thailand's recent floating of its currency and deal with the IMF shows it is serious about rectifying its problems.
