Article Abstract:
New York state-based publication the New York Times desired to reach more ethnic readers in the boroughs of New York City, NY. To accomplish this goal, it developed a lecture series called the TimesTalks with the Queens Borough Public Library, which serves an unusually diverse audience and is the most widely used public system in the US. The series has provided an opportunity for the newspaper staff to hear directly from readers and for the audience to meet and ask questions from the newspaper staff.
