Torotrak
Article Abstract:
Torotrak is developing an automatic transmission product for automobiles and is likely to report a loss for the three years from 1999, with royalty income then rising. Royalty income could bring in large amounts, but there could also be delays from technical problems, which could lead to cost over-runs. The company has agreements with Toyota, Ford and General Motors, which give it credibility. An agreement has also been signed with Koyo-Seiko to supply key components for the product.
