Tweedie on board for five more years
Article Abstract:
The decision to reappoint Sir David Tweedie as the International Accounting Standards Board(IASB) chairman has led to the possibility of introducing International Financial Reporting Standards and the abolition of reconciliation to US GAAP. Tweedie claims that that he would be required to tackle issues such as leasing, pension, accounting, financial instruments, and the profit and loss account while also get standards back to the position where they are easily understood by the average accountant.
