Data Over Voice: A Welcome Choice in Telecommunications
Article Abstract:
The cost of installing, expanding or changing a computer system can be greatly reduced by the use of data-over-voice units (DOVs). DOVs allow the transfer of data over telephone lines and thus eliminate the need for direct cable hook up of remote terminals. Because different bandwidths are used, data transmission does not affect voice transmission. Step-by-step instructions for selecting a DOV are included.
