A list is presented of the top profit-making companies in the United Kingdom, and the biggest losers, according to their bottom-line profits on the FTSE 350. The top performer is oil and gas company, Shell, which had a 2000 year-end profit of 8,515 million pounds, and bringing up the rear is Garban Intercapital which lost 35 million pounds.
