Newspapers Byte on SAU Program
Article Abstract:
On July 1, 1984 newspapers will make Standard Advertising Units (SAU) a reality. True standardization will exist for newspaper advertisements. Due to computerization, advance planning will be needed for the SAU program. Newspapers throughout the United States are engaged in organizing and planning for the conversion. Newspapers are not to raise their advertising rates when the conversion is instituted. The advertising agencies will also benefit from standardization of the rate card and the invoice.
