Why do executives serve as non-executives? Pre - Cadbury evidence from UK non-financial companies
Article Abstract:
Prior to the governance reforms in United Kingdom during mid 1990s, many executives of the non-financial companies also served as non-executives in other companies. The extent to which such trends were prevalent is examined. The factors affecting the holding of such additional directorship by the executives are also analyzed.
