WizRule for Windows revolutionizes database management
Article Abstract:
WizRule for Windows is an innovative database auditing software that can be used to automatically identify the hidden rules and trends in database records. The package functions by scanning the database to determine governing rules, which generally follow the if-then format, and pinpoint records not following these rules. The two windows of WizRule are the Workspace and the Viewer. The Workspace window selects a specific database to be analyzed and set the parameters that will guide the identification of rules and records deviating from the rules. The Viewer window, on the other hand, makes a list of all the detected rules and deviating records. WizRule needs an IBM-compatible system, 386SX or higher, at least 4MB RAM, 4MB disk space, MS-DOS V3.1 or later, VGA graphics display, 3.5-inch high density disk drive and a mouse or a similar device. Each package is priced at $495.

Article Abstract:
Fixed asset software packages greatly ease the recordkeeping and tracking of a company's assets. A fixed asset software allows the filing of specific assets in a 'book' according to a prescribed tax or accounting systems, whether it be MACRS or ACRS, alternative minimum tax, ACE, or a state tax system. The fixed asset software simultaneously maintains sets of such books to facilitate a more effective management of the depreciation records related to a company's assets. The fixed asset software also allows users to input a high level of detail concerning every company asset. A single-user fixed asset management software is priced from $800 while a network-based package's is priced over $1,500. A seven-step procedure for setting up and using a fixed asset management system is discussed. Two specific tax software, Fixed Assets Relief and Fixed Asset System are featured.
