Wrist postures while keyboarding: effects of a negative slope keyboard system and full motion forearm supports
Article Abstract:
Video-motion analysis of hand/wrist postures while using a 101-key QWERTY keyboard on a 68 cm high work-surface revealed that subjects preferred to sit 79 cm away from the computer screen while using the negative slope keyboard. Subjects chose an inclination of 12 degrees below horizontal to flatten the angle of the key-tops, while the ulnar deviation averaged 13 to 15 degrees for the right and left hands.

Comparison of three computer office workstations offering forearm support: Impact on upper limb posture and muscle activation
Article Abstract:
A comparison between three computer office workstations offering forearm support is done to study the correct upper limb posture while working at a computer. It is important to alternate between resting the forearms on the work surface and on the chairs' armrests, to prevent musculoskeletal disorders, which would also help to use different muscles during computer work.

Accuracy and validity of observational estimates of wrist forearm posture
Article Abstract:
The accuracy of ergonomists' video-based observational estimates of working posture of the wrist and forearm obtained with representative methods for scaling and documenting posture as a risk factor are discussed. The possible limitations of the methods are summarized.
