Wynne: QDR won't decide raptor fate
Article Abstract:
Michael Wynne, the under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics has said that the 2005 Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR) should not be considered as the basis for determining the procurement size of programs like the F/A-22 Raptor fighter aircraft program. He indicated that the QDR assists in providing a 20-year view of the Department of Defense's (DOD) requirements but it cannot be determinative and solve programmatic questions.

Raptor appears to be flying past 'flaw' issue
Article Abstract:
The US Air Force's F-22A Raptor acquisition program is not in the danger of being interrupted despite the discovery of a possible flaw in one of the aircraft's parts. The Air Force and prime contractor Lockheed Martin Corp. are working to evaluate the flaw issue, which is a titanium part produced by The Boeing Co., a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin on the program.
