Bimodal size distribution of gold nanoparticles under picosecond laser pulses
Article Abstract:
The kinetics for the size reduction of gold nanoparticles using picosecond laser pulses is studied. The results show that the size reduction of gold nanoparticles under picosecond laser pulses occurred below the boiling point because of the gold vapor formation around hot liquid gold drops.

Polymer-protected Ni/Pd bimetallic nano-clusters: preparation, characterization and catalysis for hydrogenation of nitrobenzene
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to obtain polymer-protected Ni/Pd bimetallic nanoclusters by an enhanced polyol reduction technique under high temperature in the presence of poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone). Such nanoclusters have average diameters of between 1.5 nm and 2.3 nm.

Size evolution of alkanethiol-protected gold nanoparticles by heat treatment in the solid state
Article Abstract:
A simple method is used for heat-induced size evolution of small Au particles. This method can be used for ligand-protected metal or semiconductor nanoparticles.
