Carbon nanostructures in portable fuel cells: Single-walled carbon nanotube electrodes for methanol oxidation and oxygen reduction
Article Abstract:
A reproducible way to obtain films of varying amounts of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) on electrode surfaces using electrophoretic deposition is presented. Main emphasis is laid on the deposition of the SWCNT on the electrode, the characterization of the nanotubes on the electrode surface, and the cyclic voltammetry of methanol oxidation and oxygen reduction using these nanostructured carbon electrodes with platinum electrodepostited on them.

Photoelectrochemical oxidation of methanol on oxide nanosheets
Article Abstract:
Photoelectrochemical oxidation of alcohol on various nanosheet electrodes is measured to evaluate the photocatalysis of water photolysis with alcohol as a sacrificial agent. The nanosheet electrodes are used as the starting material to prepare the electrode by the layer-by-layer (LBL) method in order to control the layered structure affecting the mechanism.

Carbon nanotubes generated form template carbonization of polyphenyl acetylene as the support for electrooxidation of methanol
Article Abstract:
Synthesis of carbon nanotubes using polyphenyl acetylene precursor yielded well-aligned carbon nanotubes. However, the differences in stability suggest better tolerance of methanol oxidation.
