The Case/Tyler Business Unit of Benson, MN, is considered as one of the leading innovators in the development and manufacturer of fertilizer application equipment. The company has been known as Tyler Industries until it was acquired by Case Corp. Case/Tyler is expected to benefit from the resources and international connections of Case Corp. As a result of the merger, Case's AIM and Advanced Farming System will be integrated into the Tyler product lines to give the merged unit a capability in data gathering and processing from planting to harvest.

'System' approach builds seed business

Hintzsche Fertilizer Inc of Maple Park, IL, effectively bundles seed and crop protection packages by comparing various seed sytems and showing the results to potential clients. The company, which has already amassed enough data to be able to create a ranking of seed systems in its area of operation, tests the seed systems on test plots that are located next to the dealership. The results are shown to various growers during technology day, which is held every Aug.
