Chlorophyll a Franck-Codon factors and excitation energy transfer
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to show the accuracy of the chlorophyll a Franck-Codon factors of J.K. Gillie, et al, and that they can be utilized in quantum mechanical computations of excitation energy transfer rates. The vibrational frequencies and FC factors were compared against those from E.J.G. Peterman, et al. A Kr+ laser was utilized to carry out Raman excitation. It supported a 30 mW incident power on the sample surface.

Density of vibrational states of the light-harvesting complex II of green plants studied by inelastic neutron scattering
Article Abstract:
Results of inelastic neutron scattering (INS) experiments are reported for the solubilized trimeric light-harvesting complex of photosystem II (LHC II) in the temperature range from 5 to 100 K. The effective density of vibrational states is derived from the experimental data.
