Cluster-growth-induced water adsorption in hydrophobic carbon nanopores
Article Abstract:
An attempt is made to investigate the stabilities of water molecules in carbon slit-shaped nanospheres using the potential calculation for possible water clusters (H2O)(sub n) of n = 2 - 12. The adsorption isotherm of water on a graphite slit pore with no surface functional groups at 303 K is calculated with GCMC simulation suing TIP-5P and 10-4-3 Steele potential functions.

Coordination symmetry-dependent structure restoration function of one-dimensional MOFs by molecular respiration
Article Abstract:
One-dimensional (1D) metal-organic compounds with cis, trans symmetry controlled counter anion were synthesized and characterized. It was shown that the cis and trans symmetry control with solvent molecules of p-toluensulfonate anion (OTs) in 1D chain compounds and symmetry selective structural self-restoration by exposure to vapors.

Clathrate-formation mediated adsorption of methane on Cu-complex crystals
Article Abstract:
Adsorption and desorption isotherms of methane on [Cu(4,4'-bipyridine)2(BF4)2] (LPC) at 258, 273, and 303 K are measured. The Clapeyron-Clausius equation is used to express the temperature dependence of the gate pressure, which gives thermodynamics evidence on the clathrate formation between the Cu complex and methane.
