Collision-induced desorption and reaction on hydrogen-covered Al(111) single crystals: hydrogen in aluminum?
Article Abstract:
The recombination and desorption of hydrogen from a Al(111) surface is examined focusing the desorption processes that lead to the formation of dihydrogen and aluminum hydride (presumably alane). The perturbations occur to the desorption kinetics of these species as a result of the energy transfer due to collision of a xenon beam at 1.6, 2.8, and 3.6 eV with a hydrogen covered surface.

Surface-nitrogen removal in a steady-state NO+H2 reaction on Pd(110)
Article Abstract:
Surface-nitrogen removal steps are analyzed in the course of a catalyzed NO+H2 reaction on Pd(110) by angle-resolved mass spectroscopy combined with cross-correlation time-of-flight techniques. The results reveal that hydrogen was a stronger reagent than CO toward No reduction and relatively enhanced the associative process of nitrogen atoms.

Quantum states of molecular hydrogen and its isotopes in single-walled carbon nanotubes
Article Abstract:
Quantum mechanical energy levels are calculated for the hydrogen molecule and its homonuclear isotopes confined within nanotubes of various sizes and structures. Thus, the effects of including both translation and rotation are presented.
