Conductivity, thermal measurements, and phase diagram of the Na2S2O7-NaHSO4 system

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the conductivity of Na2S2O7-NaHSO4 binary system for 15 different compositions in the full composition rate at temperatures between 400 to 700 K. The hygroscopic Na2S2O7 was characterized by thermal decomposition of Na2S2O8. The temperature of the furnace was then regulated to within +/- 0.1 degrees C. Electrical conductivity was represented against the temperature of the Na2S2O7-NaHSO4 system at different compositions.

Conductivity, thermal measurements, X-ray investigations, and phase diagram of the Na2S2O7-K2S2O7 system

Article Abstract:

Conductometric, calorimetry and X-ray methods were used for investigating the SO2 oxidation catalyst solvent system Na2S2O7-K2S2O7. The phase diagrams have been constructed using phase transition temperatures measured for totally twenty-three different compositions, where it is seen that the results thus obtained are in accordance with the results obtained through thermal investigations.

Sulfato complex formation of V(V) and V(IV) in pyrosulfate metals investigated by potentiometry and spectroscopic methods

Article Abstract:

A study of the coordination of SO(sub 4)(super 2-) to V(IV) and V(V) in M2S2O7-M2SO4-V2O5 under So2(g) and O2(g) atmospheres at 450 degrees C to 470 degrees C is presented. It is shown that the same V(V) and V(IV) complexes are formed as in the K system.
