Adsorption and thermal decomposition chemistry of 1-propanol and other primary alcohols on the Si(100) surface
Article Abstract:
The adsorptions and reactions of 1-propanol ethanol, and methanol are compared on the Si(100)-(2x1) surface using Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS), and ab initio and density functional theory (DFT) computations in order to further probe the reactivity of alcohols on this surface. Results from the studies complement the photoemission, reflection infrared spectroscopic, and computational studies that have been reported on the systems and provide further details about the energetics of the surface tensions.

Interaction of NO with the stoichiometric RuO2(110) surface
Article Abstract:
The interaction of NO with the stoichiometric RuO2(110) surface are studied by using thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) and high resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy (HREELS). It is concluded that at higher exposure, a small amount of N2O-cus is formed, presumably via an (NO)2 dimer intermediate.
