Optical properties of metallodielectric nanostructure calculated using the finite difference time domain method
Article Abstract:
Finite difference time domain method was used to investigate the optical properties of metallodielectric nanostructures, variations of a core-shell geometry. The method provided a convenient, systematic, and general approach for calculating the optical response of a nanostructure of arbitrary symmetry and geometry to an incident light wave.

Fabrication of size-tunable gold nanoparticles array with nanosphere lithography, reactive ion etching, and thermal annealing
Article Abstract:
The two-dimensional ordered arrays of gold (Au) nanoparticales are fabricated, using two different variants of the nanoshere lithography technique. Two samples are illustrated which are subsequently annealed, that resulted in size-tunable and ordered Au nanoparticles nested in nanopores of the templated substrate.
