Detailed hydration maps of benzene and cyclohexane reveal distinct water structures
Article Abstract:
Using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of a single solute in water the hydration structures of the hydrophobic solutes benzene and cyclohexane were investigated. Three-dimensional maps of the density of the water O and H atoms surrounding either benzene or cyclohexane were generated from the simulation data.

Energy loss by nonrelativistic electrons and positrons in polymers and simple solid hydrocarbons
Article Abstract:
The energy loss and transport of electrons and positrons in gaseous cyclohexane, and solid cyclohexane, benzene, polythylene, and polystyrene are studied. The data for electrons and the results of similar calculations for positrons are compared and discussed.

The two critical concentrations in polymer science
Article Abstract:
Solutions of polystyrene in cyclohexane are investigated. The consolute concentration at the critical temperature was found to be approximately equal to the average segmental concentration within the coils.
