Disjoining pressure and algebraic screening of discrete charges at interfaces

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the electrostatic properties of discrete charges at an electrolyte-insulator interface. The results shows that single-charge effects at low surface charge density dominate the disjoining pressure of a thin film, and it depends on epsilon (sub ins).

Surface-potential reversibility of an amino-terminated self-assembled monolayer based on nanoprobe chemistry

Article Abstract:

The surface potential reversibility originating from a reversible chemical reaction between amino and nitroso groups is reported. The surface potential memory, which is the nanoprobe electrochemical technique that is based on this chemical reversibility, is demonstrated.

Capillary attraction of colloidal particles at an aqueous interface

Article Abstract:

The capillary forces arising from charged colloidal particles trapped at an oil-water interface are studied. Findings suggest that interfacial pressure is dominated by two-particle terms, which include capillary forces involving one, two, three or four particles.
