Comment on "gas diffusion and microstructural properties of ordered mesoporous silica fibers"
Article Abstract:
Alsyouri and Lin analyzed the diffusion in ordered mesoporous silica fibers in which they assume that only the diffusion along the channels (AC) plays a role for the uptake phenomenon. However, others feel that C2C diffusion must be included in the discussion of uptake measurements to avoid wrong conclusions.

A nonisothermal study of the kinetics of the nanoporosity elimination in sonogels-derived silica xerogels
Article Abstract:
A nonisothermal study of the kinetics of the nanoporosity elimination in monolithic silica xerogels, prepared from acid and ultrasound catalyzed hydrolysis of tetraethylortosilicate (TEOS) was performed. This was carried out by means of in situ linear shrinkage measurements at different heating rates.
