Distribution and structure of N atoms in multiwalled carbon nanotubes using variable-energy X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
The inhomogeneous distribution of concentration and electronic structure of the nitrogen (N) atoms doped in the multivated carbon nanotubes (CNTs) by variable-energy X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray absorption near-edge structure and electron energy-loss spectroscopy is investigated. The dependence of pyridine-like N content on the CNTs is tentatively explained by the growth mechanism, showing that the control of pyridine-like N content can be achieved by the growth conditions.

Ultrafast exciton dynamics in CdSe quantum dots studied from bleaching recovery and fluorescence transients
Article Abstract:
Ultra absorption bleach recovery and fluorescence upconversion measurements performed for three CdSe samples with nanoparticle diameters of 2.7, 2.9 and 4.3 nm. The two types of experiments provides complementary information regarding the contributions of the different processes involved in the fast relaxation of electrons and holes in the CdSe quantum dots.
