Effect of fructose, sucrose, and dimethyl sulfoxide on the equilibrium thickness of DMPC foam films
Article Abstract:
The thickness of the freestanding foam films, obtained from aqueous lipid dispersion of DMPC in the presence of low molecular weight sugars fructose and sucrose, and dimethyl sulfoxide, was measured by means of the microinterferometric technique. At high electrolyte concentration, formation of NBF with thickness of several nanometers is observed which depends on the kind of solute and its concentration in the film forming dispersion.

Effect of the charged lipid DMPG on the thickness and contact angle of foam films
Article Abstract:
Research into foam films stabilized by mixtures of dimyristoyl phosphatidyl chlorine and the charge lipid dimyristoyl phosphatidyl glycerol (DMPG) is presented. A rise in the film thickness with rising content of DMPG in the lipid mixture at constant ionic strength and with falling concentration of sodium chloride suggests an influence of the electrical double layer interaction in the system.

Concentration polarization at the Langmuir monolayer deposition: theoretical considerations
Article Abstract:
A mathematical model that described the concentration polarization in the three-phase contact region during the Langmuir-Blodgett deposition process was developed. It was shown that the stationery deposition was only possible when in additional to convective fluxes, electro diffusion ionic fluxes and corresponding concentration gradients were developed in the system.
