Water between plates in the presence of an electric field in an open system
Article Abstract:
The behavior of thin films of water between plates of different hydrophobicity by molecular dynamics (MD) simulation, both in the presence and in the absence of an electric field and at different plate separations is studied. However, the observations are likely to have implications for the behavior of thin films of water between surfaces in real physical and biological systems.

On the volume-dependence of the index of refraction from the viewpoint of the complex dielectric function and the Kramers-Kronig relation
Article Abstract:
The effect of volume dilution of an optical entity on the index refraction was studied on the basis of dielectric function. For closely related insulating solids with an identical composition, Kramer-Kronig relation found the relation constant, the relation for the index of refraction determined for the incident light with energy less than the band gap.
