Loading polyelectrolytes onto porous microspheres: Impact of molecular and electrochemical parameters
Article Abstract:
The impact of macromolecule constitution and electrostatic dimensions on the adsorption of cationic model polyelectrolytes (PELs) onto oppositely charged porous microspheres (MSs) suspended in aqueous media is examined. The results obtained from the model system are useful for technical applications such as surface modification, chromatographic processes or materials development.

Synthesis and solution behavior of carbon nanotubes decorated with amphiphilic block polyelectrolytes
Article Abstract:
A block copolymer possessing one polyelectrolyte block, polystyrene-b-sodium (sulfamate/carboxylate polyisoprene), is used for the aqueous solubilization of carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Viscosity measurements on solutions of the copolymer decorated CNTs have shown that the polyelectrolyte effect is preserved in a lesser extent in the case of the copolymer/CNTs dispersions.
