Micellization of a series of dissymmetric gemini surfactants in aqueous solutio
Article Abstract:
The micellization of the dissymmetric gemini surfactants C(sub m)C(sub 6)C(sub n)Br(sub 2), with m + n = 24 and m = 12, 13, 14, 16 and 18 is investigated. By using methods like electrical conductivity measurement, steady state fluorescence measurement and time-resolved fluorescence quenching, the effects micellization of the dissymmetric gemini surfactants are presented.

Interactions of cationic gemini surfactants with hydrophobically modified poly(acrylamides) studied by fluorescence and microcalorimetry
Article Abstract:
The effect of the spacer length of gemini surfactant on the interactions of cationic gemini surfactants with hydrophobically modified poly(acrylamide) (HMPAM) is presented. The results state that HMPAMs can form hydrophobic aggregates in the solution whereas unmodified poly(acrylamide) (PAM) does not have this behavior.

Thermodynamics of molecular self-assembly of two series of double-chain singly charged cationic surfactants
Article Abstract:
Microcalometric measurements are made as a function of temperature on the series of double-chain cationic surfactants consisting of dimethylammonium headgroup attached to alkyl chains of different lengths, C(sub M) and C(sub N) giving the formula C(sub M)H(sub 2M+1)C(sub N)H(sub 2N+1)N(CH3)(sub 2)Br.
