Minimal quantum brownian rectifiers
Article Abstract:
The possibility to generate noise-induced directed quantum currents in periodic structures of minimal complexity namely, the rectification of quantum noise in periodic tight binding lattices is discussed. The combined use of dissipation and nonequilibrium, asymmetric driving forces was used to obtain a finite directed current.

Lattice model studies of force-induced unfolding of proteins
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the general characteristics of force-induced unfolding of proteins using lattice models. The result shows tat the shape of the force-extension curves and hysteresis are qualitatively reproduced using the coarse-grained models.

Quantum Smoluchowski equation II: the overdamped harmonic oscillator
Article Abstract:
The leading finite-friction correction to the quantum Smoluchowski equation for the particular case of the overdamped harmonic oscillator is derived. It is in fact a quantum correction and it dominates the classical correction in the strong friction regime.
