New metal-N-H system composed of Mg(NH2)2 and LiH for hydrogen storage
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on the hydrogen storage properties of a ball-milled mixture of 3Mg(NH2)2 and 8LiH after first synthesizing Mg(NH2)2 by ball milling MgH2 under an atmosphere of NH3 gas at room temperature. The thermal desorption mass spectra of the mixture without any catalysts showed that a large amount of hydrogen was desorbed from 140 degree C.

Diffusion of molecular hydrogen through porous materials: The importance of framework flexibility
Article Abstract:
The energetics of a diatomic molecule passing through the sodalite framework is examined. The energy barrier for the diffusion of molecular hydrogen is calculated with periodic framework energy minimizations using dedicated force fields and by embedded quantum mechanical/semiempirical cluster calculations.
