Room temperature fabrication of hollow ZnS and ZnO architectures by sacrificial template route
Article Abstract:
Hollow ZnS and ZnO architectures are fabricated by employing Z[n.sub.5][C[O.sub.3]][sub.2][OH][sub.6] microspheres as the sacrificial template. A possible formation process from Z[n.sub.5][C[O.sub.3]][sub.2][OH][sub.6] microspheres to core/shell structured ZnO/ZnS composites was proposed by arresting a series of intermediate morphologies.

Temperature-controlled growth of ZnO nanowires and nanoplates in the temperature range 250-300 degree Celsius
Article Abstract:
Nanowires and nanoplates are grown on an oxidized Si substrate at relatively low temperatures of 250 and 300 degree Celsius, respectively starting from a mixture of Zn and BiI3. Analysis of photoluminescence spectra suggested that the nanoplates contain more oxygen vacancies and have higher surface-to-volume ratios than the nanowires.
