Photoinduced formation of bilayer vesicles
Article Abstract:
A simple yet effective method for light-induced vesicle formation is introduced. Under this photochemical reaction, a water-insoluble phosphotriester can be photolytically converted into a dialkyl phosphate that then spontaneously self-assembles into vesicles. Using light microscopy analyses, it was observed that surfactant generation was accompanied by vesicle formation. Large vesicles with dimensions of up to 10 micrometer were particularly visible. These were already present after 1 hr of irradiation, with their number rising as irradiation time increases. Their reaction seemed complete after 19 hrs.

Large-scale synthesis of hexagonal pyramid-shaped ZnO nanocrystals from thermolysis of Zn-oleate complex
Article Abstract:
The synthesis of uniform-sized hexagonal pyramid-shaped ZnO nanocrystals from thermolysis of the Zn-oleate complex is discussed. About 2.83 g of ZnO nanocrystals were synthesized by using 300 mL of oleylamine and 90mL of oleic acid as solvents and stabilizing surfactants.
