Capillary condensation of N2 on multiwall carbon nanotubes
Article Abstract:
Experiments were performed to characterize the relationship between N2 adsorption isotherms and the structure of synthetic carbon nanotubes. X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy were performed. The XRD data demonstrate the good crystallinity of the carbon nanotube crystals. Moreover, the capillary condensation process in the intraparticle mesopores of cylindrical shape were observed even in the absence of adsorption hysteresis.

Synthetic bilayer wetting on SiO2 surfaces
Article Abstract:
The effect of dioctadecyldimethylammonium bromide bilayer vesicles on the wettability of planar SiO2 surfaces is due to vesicle adhesion or bilayer deposition. The adhesion or opening up of vesicles upon contact with the SiO2 surface depends on the ionic strength being 0 or 10 mM monovalent salt. The bilayer deposition usually corresponds to the lack of contact angle hysteresis and maximization of contact angles.
