Size and charge effects on the binding of CO to small isolated rhodium clusters
Article Abstract:
A study of the adsorption of carbon monoxide on rhodium clusters in the size range of 3-15 atoms is presented in the gas phase using the frequency of the internal CO stretch, v(CO), to probe the bonding situation of the CO. The study concluded that IR-MPD could be used to probe the structure of adsorbates on gas phase metal clusters.

A novel low-temperature adsorption state of nitric oxide on a Rh(111)-p(2x2)-CCH3 surface studied by reflection-absorption infrared spectroscopy and Auger electron spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
Reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy (RAIRS) studies of the static interaction between NO and Rh(111)-CCH3 system at 120 K have revealed a significant influence on the symmetry of the methyl group. Auger electron spectroscopy is used to confirm the presence of NO species absorbed as a second adlayer on top of a CCH3 adlayer.
