Strain and microcrystallite size in synthetic lamellar apatite
Article Abstract:
The quantitative estimates of the crystalline size and microstrain in apatites produced in line profile XRD analysis at different temperatures from calcium acetate and dimethyl hydrogen phosphonate as starting materials in 1.67 and 1.82 Ca/P ratios are investigated. FT/IR and XRD data shows that reduction in the carbonate content of the series of apatites is accompanied with high strain due to loss of stoichiometry.

Precursor decomposition and nucleation kinetics during plate like apatite synthesis
Article Abstract:
The lamellar morphology of the hybrid precursor was responsible for the formation of plate like apatite product after thermal treatment at or above 400 degree Celsius. The bond rupture of the bidentate calcium acetate species in the precursor resulted in the start of crystalline apatite formation but the other components had to be decomposed by heating prior to the critical step to produce plate like apatite.

Temperature effects on a hydroxyapatite precursor solution
Article Abstract:
The formation of phosphorus-containing species at two different temperatures of 25 and 70 degree Celsius, by using , is discussed. In this formation with the presence of calcium diethoxide, ethylene glycol and acetic acid diethyl hydrogen phosphonate undergoes ligand substitution reactions.
