Microporosity development of single-wall carbon nanohorn with chemically induced coalescence of the assembly structure
Article Abstract:
Single-wall carbon nanohorns (SWNHs) with dahlia flowerlike structures were treated with H2SO4 and H2O2/H2SO4 mixture. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman spectroscopy, temperature programmed desorption (TPD), and N2 adsorption at 77k were used to characterize the SWNH samples before and after acid treatment

Dispersing carbon-nanotubes in water: A noncovalent and nonorganic way
Article Abstract:
Stabilization of aqueous dispersion of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) up to single tube level is achieved by a noncovalent and nonoragnic strategy. SWNT are stabilized through the addition of highly charged nanoparticles species and could be self assembled in solution and anchored onto functionalized Si/Sio2 surface.
