Binding of rigid dendritic ruthenium complexes to carbon nanotubes
Article Abstract:
The binding capacity of rigid ruthenium metallodendrimers to single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) is studied with the ultraviolet (UV)-vis and atomic absorption spectroscopy. The statistical analysis of the atomic force microscopy (AFM) images has shown that the morphology of the functionalized ends is consistent with the nanotubes binding to one of the endo- or exoreceptors around the dendrimer.

Homoallylic alcohol isomerization in water over an immobilized Ru(II) organometallic catalyst with mesoporous structure
Article Abstract:
PPh2-functionalized SBA-15 is synthesized by co-condensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate and 2-(diphenylphosphino)ethyltriethoxysilane through prehydrolysis. Results revealed that the ordered mesoporous structure in the SBA-15 could be preserved after PPh2 functionalization and even after Ru(II) immobilization through the Ru(II)-PPh2 coordination.
