Glucose solvation by the ionic liquid 1,3-dimethylimidazolium chloride: A simulation study
Article Abstract:
The solvation environment of the carbohydrate is determined by conducting simulations of [beta]-glucose in the ionic liquid 1,3-dimethylimidazolium chloride. The findings suggest that the dissolution of glucose/cellusoe in ionic liquid systems could be improved by regulating hydrogen bonding interactions between hydroxyl chloride cations.

Theoretical study of ibuprofen phototoxicity
Article Abstract:
Hybrid density functional theory is used for studying the photochemical properties and degradation of the nonsteroid anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen. The studies have shown that the deprotonated form has dominated at physiological pH and the species will not be able to decarboxylate from a singlet excited state
