Ubiquitous strategy for probing ATR surface-enhanced infrared absorption at platinum group metal-electrolyte interfaces
Article Abstract:
A ubiquitous two-step wet process is presented, which is an economical and easy method to prepare nanofilms of Pt group metals for electrochemical attenuated total reflection-surface enhanced infrared absorption spectroscopy (ATR-SEIRAS) application. The high detection limit of SEIRAS and the ATR configuration facilitates the simultaneous monitoring and analysis of molecular adsorption and reaction at these Pt group metals.

Charge-transfer reaction rate of Li+/Li couple in poly(ethylene glycol) dimethyl ether based electrolytes
Article Abstract:
The exchange current densities of the Li+/Li couple reaction in the poly(ethylene glycol) dimethyl ether (PEGDME) based electrolytic solutions containing LiCF3-SO3 were investigated using microelectrodes. The charge transfer reaction rate at the electrode/electrolyte interfaces are studied.
