Visualizing worm micelle dynamics and phase transitions of a charged diblock copolymer in water
Article Abstract:
The dynamics and transitions of single cylindrical micelles and vesicles composed of a charged diblock copolymer in water using fluorescence microscopy and atomic force microscopy was described. The transition kinetics and phase diagrams indicate divalent cation is about 5-10-fold more effective than monovalent in stabilizing all nonspherical morphologies.

Simulation of diblock copolymer self-assembly, using a coarse-grain model
Article Abstract:
Fitting the required parameters to properties taken from all-atom molecular dynamics simulations and experimental data develops a coarse-grain model for amphiphilic diblock copolymers. The model semiquantitatively reproduces a number of experimental results that were not explicitly used in the parameterization.

Interactions of membrane-active peptides with thick, neutral, nonzwitterionic bilayers
Article Abstract:
Antimicrobial peptide-lipid systems is studied that led to significant advancement in membrane biophysics. The study is performed on lipid bilayers that are generally charged or zwitterionic and restricted to a thickness range of 3-5 nm.
