Metal-mediated synthesis of medium-sized rings
Article Abstract:
Natural products with medium-sized ring subunits follow a general synthetic methodology involving metals. Methods for the metal-mediated synthesis of seven to nine-membered ring compounds via ring-closing metathesis, ring-expansion, cyclization, cycloaddition, and annulation reactions are described.

Synthesis of heterocyclic and carbocyclic compounds via alkynyl, allyl, and propargyl organometallics of cyclopentadienyl iron, molybdenum, and tungsten complexes
Article Abstract:
This review addresses the construction of carbocyclic and heterocyclic compounds using allyl, propargyl, and alkynyl complexes containing transition metals iron(II), molybdenum(II), and tungsten(II). These organometallic compounds are mild nucleophiles and form stable carboniums.
