Computer Graphics Market in Manufacturing Industries to Hit $23 Billion in 1992

A marketing research study indicates an increase in the sale of computer graphics in the manufacturing industry. Sales are expected to reach $23.3 billion by 1992, or average a thirty per cent annual growth rate. Computer aided design (CAD) will represent the largest applications area. CAD-CAM systems average $2 billion in sales. Business graphics are expected to average the largest growth rate, forty per cent a year until 1992. Control and monitoring applications will also experience growth through 1992. There is a chart indicating the growth of computer graphics in the manufacturing industry.

Computer Production Pace Ahead of 1982 Period
Article Abstract:
Computer mainframes, peripheral equipment and terminal equipment have showed a twenty per cent increase in production for January through July 1983. The largest increase in production has been indicated by terminal equipment. Terminal equipment is expected to surpass mainframe production in 1984. There is also a strong demand for the export of office automation systems. There is a chart indicating production percentages.
