Bankers Trust Lowers Telephone Costs by Taking Communications into Their Own Hands with a Sophisticated Intercom System

To deflate telephone costs, Bankers Trust acquired its own PBX and bypassed telephone company equipment. The bank chose the ITT 511-E intercom system which features internal hands-free communication. Improved communications systems, particularly within the company, have resulted. The system's features can be altered or enhanced by reprogramming the software.
