Developing International Standards for Cards
Article Abstract:
There are an estimated 1,000,000,000 cards used throughout the world. These cards are primarily used for credit. Retail stores, banks and gas stations are the primary users of these cards. The three types of standards for cards are NTT, JIS and ISO. The Industrial System Sub-committee has indicated its support for the ISO format. Changes to the ISO format allow for multifunctions, security and diversification. Diagrams illustrate the different standards.

Astar International Plans to Export MSX Computer
Article Abstract:
Astar International has entered into a joint venture with Integrated Electronics Manufacturing (IEM) & RCL Semiconductors to use their technologies to produce competitive products. The companies have developed a program to export the MSX home personal computer as a means to increase its sales. The personal computer will be exported to the United States, Southeast Asia, and England.

Astar International Begins Exporting Peripherals

Astar International Company is an independent computer- development company in Japan. This company intends to sell its products, under its own brands, to foreign markets. These products include computer peripherals, keyboards and color printers. Astar expects to increase its sales to over five billion dollars this year with exports to Europe and the United States.
